The required professional development cycle from the Arkansas Department of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is as follows:
Child Maltreatment/Mandated Reporter- two hours in 21-22 and every fourth year thereafter
Family and Community Engagement- two hours in 22-23 and every fourth year thereafter
Bullying and Suicide Awareness and Prevention- two hours in 23-24 and every fourth year thereafter
Arkansas History (for those who provide instruction in Arkansas History directly, or through embedded standards)- two hours in 24-25 and every fourth year thereafter
Arkansas IDEAS Portal- contains professional development courses created specifically for Arkansas educators
